James Thwaite Irving 1858-1924
My Great-Granduncle, James Thwaite Irving, was a Scottish artist who joined the
Barbizon School in France. His impressionist artist friends included the Canadian, William Blair Bruce.

Thomas Irving 1857-1918
A brother of the Scottish artist James Thwaite Irving, my Great-Granduncle, Thomas Irving, was not only a gifted violinist, but also a fine watercolour artist. He painted Scottish and Canadian landscapes at the end of the 19th century.

Anna Winnifred Munro (née Stuart Burnett) 1884-1978
My grandmother, Anna Winnifred Munro was one of three daughters of the Scottish sculptor Thomas Stuart Burnett (TSB). "Winnie" trained at the Edinburgh College of Art and was a talented artist. I was lucky to know her and benefit from her kind tuition!
